Day by day

  1. Day 1Arba Minch to Jinka via the Key Afer market, with Ari village stops en route.
  2. Day 2Into Mago National Park at dawn to visit Mursi villages; afternoon at the Jinka museum.
  3. Day 3Jinka to Turmi. Dimeka market day, evening visit to a Hamar homestead.
  4. Day 4Turmi to Omorate — cross the Omo river to Dassanech country, sunset back in Hamar lands.
  5. Day 5Korcho: Karo villages perched above the great bend of the Omo. Bull-jumping if a ceremony is called.
  6. Day 6Slow morning with a coffee ceremony, then the road north through Konso country.
  7. Day 7Konso to Arba Minch, farewell dinner overlooking Lake Chamo.
