Trek the Sanetti Plateau at 4,000 metres among giant lobelias and Ethiopian wolves — the rarest canid on Earth — then drop through the cloud forests of Harenna. Mountain nyala at Dinsho, Tullu Dimtu's summit, and skies full of raptors.

Day by day

  1. Day 1Dinsho headquarters — juniper woodland walk among nyala and warthog, gear check.
  2. Day 2Up onto the Sanetti Plateau. First wolf packs among the giant lobelias.
  3. Day 3Summit day: Tullu Dimtu at 4,377 m, afternoon at the alpine tarns.
  4. Day 4Descend the Harenna escarpment into the cloud forest, camp under the canopy.
  5. Day 5Harenna Forest walk — colobus monkeys, wild coffee, waterfall pools.
  6. Day 6Return via Rira village and the plateau road, back to Goba.
